Why I like it: Pinot Blanc originated in Alsace in north-eastern France and is part of the extended Pinot family, genetically linked to Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. In Italy it’s known as Pinot Bianco and is widely planted across Alto Adige and Friuli. Traditionally it produces wines that sit somewhere between the brightness of Pinot Grigio and the texture of Chardonnay.

Pear, green apple and subtle citrus lead into gentle almond and soft spice notes. There’s texture through the mid-palate but freshness on the finish. It’s composed, elegant and quietly complex - a brilliant alternative for Pinot Grigio drinkers wanting more depth without heaviness.
