Why I like it: Montepulciano is one of Italy’s most widely planted red grapes, particularly in Abruzzo. It produces deeply coloured wines with generous fruit, balanced acidity and approachable tannins. This wine is sourced from the Eden Valley which sits at higher altitude than the Barossa Valley floor, delivering cooler nights and greater natural acidity. This helps preserve freshness and structure.

The wine displays dark cherry, spice and subtle earthiness with firm yet balanced tannins. It’s generous without being heavy -  a wine that delivers richness alongside elegance.
